I did not do to terrible (8-5) but there is certainly room for improvement.
Season Record (9-6) Last Nights Record (8-5)
Nine games in the NBA tonight, should be exciting, so here we go.
76ers @ Raptors
The 76ers are coming off a big road win last night in Boston. Philadelphia, without Andrew Bynum, for the most part have played particularly well. They have been getting it done on the defensive end. The are only allowing teams to score an average of 89.4 PPG. The Raptors better be ready for a scrappy 76ers defense.
Toronto is led by great guard play. DeMar Derozan and Kyle Lowry have been key to this team. However, Kyle Lowry has been bothered by a bad ankle. He is a game time decision in this game. If Lowry cannot go, that will be a huge set back for the Raptors.
I like the 76ers to get this one done. Even if Lowry does play, he will not be 100%. 76ers 97 Raptors 91
Wizards @ Pacers
The Wizards are off to a typical Wizard start,(0-4). If you are a Wizards fan, look on the bright side, Bradley Beal has been playing well. In his last two games he has scored 22 and 16 points. He is heating up, and I expect the same against the Pacers.
The Pacers return to home after a two point road loss to the T-Wolves. The Pacers are off to b bit of a shaky start. This is due to the absence of Danny Granger, who will miss significant time.
The Pacers get back on track. Pacers 92 Wizards 83
Mavericks @ Bobcats
The Bobcats will need second year point guard to step up if they want to win this one. They will need significant contributions, if they are going to score with the Mavericks. We will see what Kemba is made of, and see if he can lead his team to an upset victory at home.
The Mavs have played exceptionally well this season. They are coming off a loss to the red-hot Knicks. OJ Mayo is taking over this team with Dirk out. The Mavs are going to put a little Mayon on their sandwich tonight;)
Mayo has a big game. Mavs 103 Bobcats 96.
Timberwolves @ Bulls
Chase Budinger hit a game winning shot with .8 seconds left to lift the Wolves to a 96-94 win against the Pacers. I think the 4-1 Timberwolves will come out a little bit flat after last nights victory. Player to watch in this one, is Derrick Williams. His athleticism will be too much for Boozer’s atrocious defense
The Bulls were one of the two teams to get a night off last night. They will be ready to play, as they are coming off a game in which they should have won, against the Thunder. Luol Den has a big game tonight, mark my words.
Wolves come out flat, and the Bulls gat a nice win at home. Timber Wolves 88 Bulls 96
Pistons @ Rockets
I would love to pick the Pistons in this one. I think they have a great chance to get their first win against the struggling Rockets, but I just can’t. The Rockets offense has struggled lately. They will get back on track however, because the Pistons do not play defense. They allow an average of 104 points a game. If the Pistons defense shows up, they will win, but what are the odds of that.
Pistons 92 Rockets 107
Celtics @ Bucks
The Celtics guards have a challenge tonight. The challenge is stopping the 1 2 punch of Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis. The Bucks are off to a nice start, but they will have their hands full with the experienced Celtics. The Bucks backcourt will need to have another big game.
The Celtics are not off to the best of starts, they are looking to improve to .500 tonight on the road. I think they do just that. Rondo has been playing exceptional as of late, including 20 assists last night!
Garnett has a 20+ point game, and leads the Celtics to a road win. Celtics 103 Bucks 93.
Suns @ Jazz
The Suns have been scoring at will as of late. They have scored 224 points in their last two games! They have also been giving up quite a few themselves. I still think their high-powered, balanced scoring attack will be just enough against the Jazz.
The Jazz return to hame after a 20 point loss to the Nuggets. They are 2-0 at home, but they have had some trouble scoring. They should have no trouble tonight against the poor Suns defense. The question is, is can they score neck and neck with the Suns?
Suns 107 Jazz 104. I am going to go out on a limb and say a three at the buzzer for Goran Dragic.
Spurs @ Trail Blazers
The Spurs are rolling. In the first six games the Spurs have just one loss. Manu Ginoboli is finally returning to full health. Tim Duncan had really been the star of this team. If he can stay at this level of play, and stay healthy, I believe they are the favorite in the West.
Portland has been getting a lot out rookie PG Damian Lillard. The key in their game though is Portland Star LaMarcus Aldridge. Aldridge vs Duncan. Youth vs Experience. Should be a good one.
Actually, I am going to take Portland in this one. The Spurs age will catch up with them on this road trip.
Spurs 94 Blazers 101
Nuggets @ Warriors
This is a match up of two 3-3 teams. These two teams are virtually the same. They are both led by their guard play. The key in this game is Kenneth Faried. He will need to have another nice game on the boards, and scoring the rock.
This is a tough game to predict. It is a toss-up. I am going to take the Warriors at home. Why? I am not really sure, but I am going to go with my gut. Steph Curry has a big game. Nuggets 105 Warriors 107
